Imran is a London-based Partner for EY in the Financial Services team and leads their Global FinTech practice. He advises many international financial services institutions on FinTech strategy and serves FinTechs directly helping them to scale up as effectively as possible. Also he advises governments and regulators on FinTech policy. Imran sat on the committee for the Open Banking Working Group and has advised the UK Parliament on FinTech on multiple occasions. He leads EY’s Global FinTech Adoption Index as well as a global benchmarking study on FinTech that was commissioned by HM Treasury. Imran has been recognised as an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by the UK government for his services in FinTech. Outside of EY, he is the Co-founder and Chairman of CommuterClub, a start-up that featured in 2015’s FinTech 50.
