Oliver Vins is the co-founder and head of product development, marketing & communication of vaamo, a financial services startup in Germany. vaamo was founded beginning of 2013 and helps people to plan, monitor and achieve their financial goals. It offers a simple and cost efficient way of saving and investing into a professional investment strategy. Oliver is also vice speaker of the specialist group FinTech at the German Startups Association.
He has wide experience in the German and European banking market: From 2004 to 2012 Oliver worked at McKinsey & Company with clients from the financial services and private equity industry. His recent experience includes several major strategic reorganization programs (Retail/Affluent, Corporate Banking and Structured Finance/Treasury), business strategy development and integration management in a major retail merger, as well as strategic projects in marketing & sales, pricing, and direct banking.
Oliver graduated from Goethe University in Frankfurt in 2004 with a diploma in business administration (with focus on finance). In addition, he holds an MBA from Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts (with focus on marketing). In 2008, he wrote his Ph.D. thesis analysing the peculiarities of the German (retail) banking market.
